Newsflash: AZ chapter covering ACT Advocacy training at the National Conference

Posted over 5 years ago by Samantha Casselman

Our 4th Annual Pediatric Symposium in November was such a success the board has voted to cover the cost of any AZ NAPNAP member attending the National conference who will complete the ACT advocacy training

What is ACT training?

Pediatric-focused NPs will learn about child trafficking, methods of identification and referral and, most importantly, prevention. There are more people enslaved in labor and/or sex trafficking than at any point in history, meaning children of all socio-economic profiles are at risk with some populations more vulnerable than others. Alliance for Children in Trafficking (ACT) Advocates will receive a certificate of recognition as a trained expert who will then be able to deliver this unique content to healthcare professionals and laypeople in their communities. Registrants will be given free access to prerequisite online courses to complete in advance of the workshop.

More info on ACT training and other intensive workshops at National.

ACT training will be held Friday, March 27th from 4:15 pm to 7:15 pm.

How to register: When you register for the National conference, select this intensive workshop and add it to your registration before check out. Provide your receipt to our chapter and we will reimburse you the fee. You must provide proof as an AZ chapter member that is active before the National Conference.

Please email our chapter for information about the wonderful opportunity.
