A Little about Jessica:
If one were to Google the word service, there is no doubt that Jessica Edgar’s smiling face would be there as a shining example.
Jessica Edgar was a kind, funny, brilliant woman with a heart for service, especially the service of children. Jessica loved to travel, hike, and was an avid baseball fan. Jessica served as the Director of Medical Affairs for the Make-A-Wish Foundation for many years with a servant’s heart to help children outside of the clinical setting in a community that she had served for over ten years as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Jessica also served on the board of the Arizona Chapter of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and was our President Elect. She was an active voice for Nurse Practitioners in Arizona and our pediatric population while working as our Legislative Chair. Jessica also served on the board of the Arthritis Foundation, an organization that was near and dear to her heart.
About the Scholarship:
We would like to remember Jessica by offering this scholarship to an active AZ NAPNAP member who shares her love of children and her heart of service. The recipient of this award will receive $500 to use for attendance at NAPNAP conferences.
If you know, or are, a Nurse Practitioner who meets the following criteria, we invite you to apply for the Jessica Edgar Memorial Scholarship:
- Is a member of the AZ Chapter of NAPNAP
- Currently licensed and employed in pediatric nursing
- Has not received a scholarship from AZ NAPNAP in the past 2 years
- Include current CV or résumé in .doc or .docx format
